My idea of a perfect future is a world without wires, a world where you don’t get exasperated when all your wires are in a big fat tangle because there will be no wires to get tangled up. According to us wireless charging technology is one of the greatest innovations of the 21st century and it is making lives easier all across the world. Though not entirely wireless (because the chargers themselves need to be connected to a power outlet with guess what … a wire) they do free you from remembering to plug-in your phone to your charger and making sure that it is turned on because trust me nothing is worse than waking up in the morning to find out that your phone was not charging all night. With a wireless charger all you have to do is place your charger on the flat surface and it will start charging right away and it will be good to go the next morning.
Today the market is flooded with a wide range of wireless chargers with each one offering different features, styles and prices. Some of them are very good, some okay and others not very good. So before splurging on a wireless charger you need to know whether your phone is compatible with, does it have all the features you are looking for does it fall in your price range.
We have been testing out a lot of wireless chargers over the past few months and I think it’s safe to say we have finally found one which answers yes to all those questions. World, meet Baseus Qi enables 3 coil wireless charger. This wireless charger is Qi enabled and is therefore compatible with all Android and iOS devices that are also Qi enabled. This wireless charger is good enough to compete with most of the pricier chargers on the market and we think it here to compete and stay in the lead. Although its been designed primarily to work with the iPhone X, Samsung S9 and Oppo smartphones, it compatible with all Qi enabled smartphones.
We reviewed this product on the basis of its design, how user friendly it is, the build quality and how good it is at charging our smart phone. So without further ado, let’s get into it.
Design and Appearance:
The device comes packed in a white cardboard box with an outward handle to hold the box with. You open the box by pulling on the top hinged flap. Inside the box, awaiting you is the charger itself, along with a micro USB to USB cable and a user manual.

When you open the box, you will find the Baseus 3 coil wireless charger, a USB C to micro USB cable (to connect to a power source) and a user manual for instruction to follow.

In terms of its outlook and appearance, the Baseus wireless charger has a beautiful, elegant and sleek design that is both stylish and compact. It is very light weight, weighing only 0.26 kg. This light weight combined with the matte black finish on the front and zinc alloy side bezels gives it a very futuristic look. Coming to the dimensions of the charger, it is almost 8.6 inches long, 3.94 inches wide and 0.8 inches in height. The overall dimensions of the charger in our opinion make for a very compact and easily portable device.

The wireless charger is designed such that it can be used either laying down, or as a stand or you can hold it in your hand while it charger your phone.
On the back of the charger is a detachable bracket which comes out and acts as a stand for the charger.

This way the charger is able to recharge your phones battery in an upright position. With this feature you have the choice to charge your phone either vertically or horizontally depending on your needs at the time.

Also on the back are four silicone rubber strips which add traction when the charger is lying flat on some surface and thus prevents it from slipping or sliding off.
How to use and how well it performs:
To begin using the wireless charger, take the cable that comes with the charger and plug it in to a power source. Now the wireless charger is ready for use. You then place your Qi enabled smart device on the charger. To indicate that the charging process has begun, a blue LED light will turn on in the top right corner of the wireless charger. This wireless charger has 2 modes, standard mode and fast charging mode. When charging your device whether vertically, horizontally or parallel make sure that the device is in the middle of the charger.
The feature that sets this wireless charger apart from most of the other in the markets is the 3 coils. Normally wireless chargers have either one or at most 2 charging coils but the Baseus wireless charger has 3 coils inside which make for quicker and faster charging relative to other wireless chargers. The 3 coils inside the device cover the entire smartphone thereby charging it faster. To test it out, we used the iPhone X and we found that the wireless charger was able to charge the iPhone fairly quickly. When the device is charging our iPhone X, a blue light turned on in the top right hand corner indicating that the charging process has begun.

We repeated the test multiple times and we can surely confirm that the device charged iPhone X very quickly. So it’s safe to say that the 3 coils actually do make a difference and therefore the charger can be called a wireless fast charger.
