OnePlus 6 was released in May 2018, smashing all the other similarly priced smartphones in terms of value-for-money. Honestly, the new design wasn’t a huge step forward but the smooth lag-free experience with a respectable camera at just above $500 was an amazing deal. Now, it's been around six months and everyone is waiting for the OnePlus 6T. According to the new announcement, the OnePlus 6T is going to be launched in October 2018 and here is what we know about the 6T so far.

Leaks about the OnePlus 6T

Earlier it was rumored that the “T” variant of the OnePlus 6 wasn’t going to be launched by the company and they will move towards the OnePlus 7 next year. However, these rumors can now be easily ignored as the official sales partner of OnePlus, which is Amazon has now confirmed that the OnePlus 6T is coming.

Also, an advertisement can also be seen including the brand ambassador of the OnePlus, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan holding what can be expected to be the new OnePlus 6T and talking about a “Smart” way to unlock the device. This directly hints toward the new in-display fingerprint scanner on the OnePlus 6T which was rumored quite a while from now.
Another this which is confirmed about the OnePlus 6T is the absence of the 3.5mm audio jack which the founder of OnePlus himself claimed. According to a survey done by OnePlus, more than 60% of the users own wireless headphones thus they took it as just the right time to move away from the audio jack.

It is also rumored that the US customers will now be able to buy OnePlus 6T from a carrier which will be the first time for any OnePlus smartphone.
OnePlus 6T might sport a bigger display with a water drop notch this time around. This is concluded by the fact that the latest Oppo smartphones like R17. Also, there will be a smaller chin at the bottom too just like the OnePlus 6. Some images of the retail box with an outlined image of the 6T also point to such rumor.

It is also rumored to use the similar Snapdragon 845 chipset which is the flagship chip by Qualcomm along with 8 GB of RAM. Also, OnePlus 6T is also supposed to be running on the latest Android Pie OS as it is already rolling out on OnePlus 6 model.
OnePlus claimed that the battery on the 6T will be a considerable upgrade over the predecessor. Although, it is not indicated that whether it will be a bigger battery, software optimizations or both.
The cameras on the OnePlus 6T are also going to be an improvement over the OnePlus 6. A while ago some renders surfaced over the web including the 6T with a triple camera setup, however, with the latest promotional images, it can almost be confirmed that it will only sport a Dual camera setup just like the predecessor.

OnePlus Dash Charge (now known as the Warp charge) is also supposed to be upgraded but there is no official statement about it so this rumor can be ignored. Also, don’t expect any features like Wireless charging or MicroSD slot since OnePlus officially said that they don’t want MicroSD slots on their device and the wireless charging isn’t as great as the Warp charging.
With the upgrades like the Bigger display, Improved camera, better battery life etc, the price of the OnePlus 6T may also rise over the OnePlus 6.

What Do OnePlus Fans Want? How OnePlus 6T Or Future Phones Are Supposed To Be Higher Resolution Display

Even tho the display on the previous OnePlus models were great, there are higher resolution displays available in the market with features like HDR support. With the current trend, it looks like OnePlus 6T is still gonna use a FullHD panel but a higher resolution display will be more than welcome.
