Razer Phone is built only for gamers. It is a gaming device through which you can play high-quality games but there specifications like camera, operating system, and many other things are just average. Storage part is much good. It supports Netflix HDR videos so when you keep your phone in your hand then it seems like you have a mini cinema with you. But this phone is expensive so it is not for some particular users who want a phone with good features. It has a fast charging feature through which you can charge your phone in just 1 hour. The screen of Razer phone is good but so much large. It is a high expensive phone at Rs. 97,999. So I think middle-class users are not capable of buying this phone. If we talk about its camera part, then it will give you an average camera in this price range. There is only a one SIM slot in the mobile phone which is the biggest disadvantage of the phone because, in today's time, all the companies launches a smartphone with dual SIM facility in which one extra SIM slot is an advantage for the users. If we compare Razer phone from the Apple iPhone X or OnePlus then Razer is not the best phone in terms of features but if you want a phone for gaming then no doubt, this phone gives you the best gaming features comparing other smartphones.
Inside the Box
Razor phone comes in a black color box which is wrapped from the edges of the textured paper. The packing of Razer phone is much different from the Apple's packing. At this time, mostly brands packed a smartphone with some orange or white color box which is thin but Razer gives you an advanced packaging style. The position of the handset in the box is at the center which is built from the concave plastic material. Razer arranged all the stuff in a classy way. Overall, the packing is easy and nice and I am happy to see this type of packing because I am not seeing a packing like this in my previous time. Now, I can say that the job done by the Razor for making a phone in terms of its packaging style is brilliant.
Design and Build
Razer phone is the first smartphone for gaming and it uses the cloud storage in a different way. It has a smooth screen with speakers on the bottom side. There is no doubt for the speakers. The sound is amazing and terrible. The body is made of anodized metal and it comes with a bezel-less feature. The finishing with matte black makes the phone more stylish and classy. Its power key is the fingerprint sensor and two volume buttons are placed at its left side edge in a circular shape while the right side edge is vacant. All the four edges are sharp so give you an amazing feeling while you hold in your hand but I think circular edge smartphone is much easy to hold in your hand. A stylish logo is present at the rear side of the body which determines the brand.
The body is slippery because there is no grip to hold the phone tightly in your hand. It is just because of the chunky edges. Its fingerprint sensor position is different so you need time to understand so that your finger automatically goes there. But the fingerprint sensor works fast so it quickly locks or unlocks the phone and give you a vibration. I can say one thing with surety that not every person want this phone but when they see the design and look of this smartphone then it must be attracted towards the razor phone. Hence, it is good to buy because of some decent qualities in it but it is up to you what you want from the smartphone and according to your need.
Display
Razer phone is the first smartphone which comes with 120Hz refresh rate but I think this is not a big factor for us. Because we can play all the games in the different Android smartphone which we played on this Razer phone. So, what is the difference now to buy this expensive phone? Although, it has a massive display of 5.7 inches with the dimensions of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels it does not compete with Samsung Galaxy S9 plus with a large screen. It uses an LCD panel screen but I expected to Razer that the Razer phone will come with AMOLED display. razor improve two things in the smartphone on which user faces the problem. One is its high refresh rate and second is Ultramotion tech. Both these things will help to improve the efficiency and quality of the screen.
If you are from non-technical background then I will tell you the meaning of refresh rate. It just means that the display refreshes itself again and again. Razer phone has launched with 60 Hz frames second. The refresh rate is directly proportional to the smoothness of screen. Means more refresh rate give you more smoothness in the screen. There is no other phone in the Indian market which comes in this 120 Hz refresh rate. This is just amazing. Overall, the display is perfect and suits for the gaming. Razer focuses on display more but the graphics are not so best. It is just above the average.
Gaming Phone
Razer is a famous company and known for making the device like laptops, desktop, iPad and many more devices especially for gaming use with high specs inside it. The first time, they built a smartphone for playing games. I personally used this phone so I am confident about the gaming. High games and 3D games supportable phone give you the better experience than any other smartphone. We already talked about the 120 Hz refresh rate which is helpful in playing heavy games also.
High refresh rate
I played Rackless Racing 3 many time but when I play this game in Razer phone then I feel that it runs smoothly without any problem because it only runs on 60 Hz, 90 Hz and 120 Hz refresh rate. If we consider other Android phones then most of the handset only supports one type of refresh rate but this phone supports three types of refresh rate so it is obvious that you play heavy games here not fluidly but perfectly.
If you play some basic games in low refresh rate then it may happen that you do not notice the difference between Razer phone and other smartphones but when you play heavy games then it will surely show you a difference. There is an option for changing the profiles of listing games which can save your performance of the battery. You can also change the setting of games included the resolution or refresh rate according to the priority of game. You can do silent mode on while gaming so that when someone message you then the mobile will only show the notification without any vibration or beep sound. But there is a lack of switching to the social websites from gaming quickly. Overall, the gaming experience in this Razer phone is just amazing and if you are game lover then it is built for you.
Performance and Storage
Razer phone uses Android Noughat operating system with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor but Razer confirms that the Android 8.0 Oreo update will come in the next year. So do not worry about the operating system. Although games are running smoothly in the present version of the operating system. Due to the absence of bloatware, this smartphone prooves its stability and great performance for day to day or everyday activities.
