Vernee V2 Pro- Inside the Box
Vernee V2 Pro comes in a nice looking white color box with Vernee branding. The box contains the usual stuff like Power Adapter, USB Cable, Type-C to headphone jack adapter, User manual, cue card and the device itself. The overall packaging feels quite premium for the price. However, there is no screen protector or cover inside the box. Well, this is not a big deal after all.

Design and Build
Vernee V2 Pro is not you daily causal looking smartphone. It is in the buzz for a reason. V2 Pro is a rugged device which is protected by a combination of metal and polycarbonate. I know what you are thinking but honestly, it is not an ugly looking bulky device. V2 look premium from every corner.
Vernee V2 Pro weighs around 260 gm which is quite heavy but for protection the weight is important. The thickness of the device is 12.1 mm but trust me the rest of the specifications are simply awesome.
The back of the device has a dotted texture which provides extra grip while holding the device. Vernee calls it an Anti-Fouling and Anti-Slip coating. We have a dual camera setup at the back along with the fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor which works in real time.
Coming to the front side we have a modern looking 5.99 inches 18:9 display. We also have dual camera arrangement with flash on the front. There are to physical navigation keys on the front so you have to depend solely on on-screen navigational keys.
On the left side, you will find the volume rocker along with the power switch. While on the right side you will find the SIM tray with extra protection for waterproofing. There is a Type-C charging at the bottom of the device which supports fast charging and is protected by a cover but there is no 3.5mm headphone jack which is a bummer. Well, I guess one of the reasons for not having a headphone jack is to provide extra protection from water.
Therefore, as I told you earlier, Vernee V2 Pro is not your regular looking device. It is a rugged masterpiece which can easily handle heavy drops without any wear and tear. The extra thickness of the device is due to the massive battery it packs under the hood. You can drop this device under water without worrying at all. Vernee V2 Pro comes with a modern 5.99 inches 18:9 IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 and pixel density of ~400 PPI. Vernee V2 Pro is powered by MediaTek Helio P23 Octa-core processor which is running at 2.5 GHz along with the Mali 671 MP2 GPU which is responsible for handling graphics department. Performance is no doubt one of the best in the mid-range segment.
Heavy titles like Pokemon Go, Riptide GT, Dead Trigger 2 and many more have no issues with this device at all. There is negligible lag which playing heavy games at maxed out settings. Day-to-day performance is also superb so stuff like web browsing, messaging, multitasking work smoothly.

Software
Vernee V2 Pro runs on latest Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box which is impressive as most of the device in the mid-range often comes with last generation OS. On top of Android Oreo, we have VOS which is Vernee’s own Android skin. VOS s=has some pretty impressive features like Three finger swipe to screenshot, Picture-in-picture, Intelligent apps and much more. However, VOS feels very close to stock Android making the navigation and animations really smooth and fluid.
Apart from VOS features, you will also get default Android Oreo features like new emojis, better app management, improved multiwindow etc. But there is no guarantee regarding any future updates. However, Oreo will serve you well for several upcoming years.
Camera
Vernee V2 Pro sports a dual camera system on the back with 21 Megapixel primary sensor of F/2.0 aperture and 5 Megapixel supporting sensor. The main sensor supports Phase detection autofocus technology. Focus speed is decent. The images captured has nice details but colors turn out to be little undersaturated. Under low lighting condition, V2 Pro manages to click some decent pics but most of the time you will end up with a grainy image. However, this is where the most powerful flagships suffer too as mobile phone’s cameras are not capable of capturing enough light for low light photography. Video recording quality is also decent and it can record videos @1080p or @720 resolution.
There is also a dual camera arrangement on the front with flash for supplement light. The primary camera is a 13 Megapixel sensor while the other one is a 5-megapixel supporting sensor. We also have a very common beauty mode which. Images captured outdoors in broad daylight are pretty impressive with the fair amount of quality and sharpness. However, the camera suffers under low-light conditions. You will notice a decent amount of noise in the images which are captured under low lighting conditions.
Overall, Vernee V2 Pro is might not be the best device for photography in its segment but it is surely far from the worst. You can shoot decent videos and impressive images using some 3rd party camera apps which you can easily download from play store.
Battery
Vernee V2 Pro packs a humongous 6200 mAh battery, pretty impressive right? You can easily expect the battery backup of 2+ days from this device on moderate to heavy usage. Try all your heavy games and HD movies, V2 Pro’s battery won’t even break a sweat. The screen on time on this device is around 10+ hours which completely crushes the other phones in its segment.
However, if you somehow manage to run out of battery with this monster, Vernee provides 15V 2A fast charging solution via Type-C port which can reach up to 65% in just 60 minutes. Hence, with fast charging and such a giant battery, I guess no one will have any trouble with the battery life using Venree V2 pro.
