The review unit I’ve received from ValueQ is a JBL GO Bluetooth Speaker. I’ve been using it for several weeks and I’m quite pleased with it so far.
If you are considering to buy a small and inexpensive portable Bluetooth speaker, you can choose one from the JBL’s product line. And JBL Go is one of the cheapest and smallest speakers of JBL.

Design
The JBL Go is a small and lightweight speaker with a minimalist, block-shaped design.

It is available in several bright colors: black, blue, gray, orange, pink, red, teal, yellow, and the one I’ve got comes in blue.
On the front, you can find the metal grille with the JBL logo painted on it.
Other parts of the speaker are covered by a matt finished rubberized plastic.

It is solid and well-built, the material does not feel cheap in hand, so it won’t disappoint you when you take it off from the box.
There are five buttons placed on the top of the speaker: Power, Bluetooth pairing, Volume up/down and Phone button.

On the right side placed the 3.5mm USB port along with a mic pinhole. When your phone is connected via Bluetooth, you can listen and speak directly to it when someone calls. A button on the JBL Go can even be used to end the call.

The Go’s back also has the JBL logo painted on it while the left side has a lanyard loop to keep the speaker in place. The built-in strap-hook and optional carrying strap, allows you to bring your music everywhere.

As one of the smallest speakers on the market, it can easily fit into your palm or pocket.
Battery
The JBL Go has a 600mAh Li-ion battery. It is claimed that the JBL Go can last a little more than 5 hours on a single charge. The reality is it lasts 5 hours and 50 minutes at 70% volume and 2 hours and 30 minutes at maximum volume respectively.
Audio Performance
The JBL Go has enough volume to fill a small room, or a table area by the beach. The audio output is without distortion till about 60–70% of the maximum volume level. Actually I was blown away by the sheer volume and presence of this speaker, as there is hardly any distortion in the highs and bass, with really clean and clear mids. However, beyond that, there is audible crackling.
Also, it has great soundstage but does better with music genres heavy in mids and highs like ambient/classical, voice/podcasts, etc.
